Professional Permit Expediting Service

Although each jurisdiction is different, their backbone is virtually the same. These tips may seem elementary, however, they tend to be forgotten, which delays the submission of some plans.

Cover and all 'A' sheets should bear the original seal and signature of the architect.

Cover sheets should have a vicinity and key map, showing your project in relationship to the rest of the spaces and/or buildings.

Cover sheet should ALWAYS list project name and specific/exact address.

For in-line and/or alterations to existing buildings, cover sheet should have the following code analysis:

Existing
Proposed
Use group(BOCA, art)
Type of Construction
Height/No. of Stories
High Rise?
Covered Mall?
Area/SF of Renovation
______
______
______
______
______
______
______
______
______
______
______
______

All mechanical, electrical and plumbing sheets should bear the original seal and signature of a Professional Engineer, NOT the architect.

Show occupant loads based on current editions of BOCA and NFPA Life Safety.

Provide electrical panel schedule and mechanical CFM, inside/outside air schedules.

Make sure the general contractor and the subs have all required licenses for each project.
